Hon. Oscar Mira new Minister of Defence and Border Security met with the US Embassy Chargé d’affaires, David Hodge where they discussed their joint commitment to regional and maritime security, including the fight against drug traffickers and other transnational criminal organizations.
Hon. Oscar Mira reaffirmed the continued strong partnership both countries have forged in areas of defense and security. Hon Oscar Mira area representative for Belmopan assumed the helm of the Ministry following the 12 March General Elections. He had previously served as minister of state in the ministry.
